19 of Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been won on hard courts

A comeback Daniil Medvedev secured his initial title for nearly 30 months with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the competition title decider.

The athlete, a former number one, has experienced a torrid period, achieving just a single victory at the major tournaments and experiencing a difficult moment at the US Open.

The player's unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his service game in specific - caused him falling of the top ten and finally separating with former mentor Gilles Cervara.

Currently collaborating with Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually advanced in the past month - culminating in a tightly fought competitive triumph over challenger Moutet.

This marks his initial championship after the Italian tournament and initial on a hard court from that period of that year.

The win also signifies Medvedev has won 21 victories at twenty-one various competitions.

"For the first time I have attended a event with my both daughters simultaneously, so to win a trophy is really nice," said ranked player Medvedev.

"This victory is in tribute of my younger daughter Victoria, because the first title I got when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."

Medvedev, the past champion, had been defeated in his past six title deciders, including in the German tournament earlier this year.

His retrieving approach and frequent reactions on the playing surface had prompted commentators to wonder if his skill to perform at the elite level was over.

However the athlete has made changes in the last few weeks, striving to advance forward and compete assertively, reinforced by an better service.

Medvedev came back from a deficit in the first set against the challenging Frenchman, securing four of the last five points to take the lead.

The competitors traded breaks in the following set before Moutet, attempting for his maiden tour title, took control to push for a final set.

The opponent rescued 4 early chances in a close third set before Medvedev broke to fifteen to close out the victory.

Fittingly, Medvedev earned the win with a shot at the net, with his opponent unable to control a shot after over two and a half hours.
